What is BRITA Managed Services (BMS) and what does the charge include?

With over 55 years of experience in water filtration, BMS provides bespoke solutions to customer’s needs. Our partnership ensures customers receive consistent beverage quality and machine protection against costly scale-related breakdowns.

Our BMS charge includes:

  • BRITA Engineer
  • Filter monitoring to ensure exchanges at the necessary intervals
  • Recycling of your exhausted filters
  • Onsite diagnostics, issue resolution and water testing
  • Reporting and budgeting
  • Dedicated customer support

Why do I need my filters changed annually, even if there is still capacity left in my filter?

Our filter cartridges endure stresses from varying water pressure during operation. As a result, we only guarantee their use for one year. If your filter still has capacity after this period, you may continue using it, but we recommend replacing it, as it will no longer be covered under warranty.

How can I recycle my exhausted filters?

If a BRITA engineer replaces your filters, you don’t need to worry—this service includes the removal of the used filters. Our engineers will remove exhausted filter(s) from your site and ensure they are sent to our recycling plant.

If you replace the filters yourself or use a third party, call our team on 01869 365851, and we can arrange free recycling.

Are there risks if I don’t change my filter when advised?

Just 1mm of scale can increase energy usage by 7%. Our filters can only process a limited number of litres of water before they become exhausted, leaving the water in your machine unfiltered. This increases the risk of costly scale-related breakdowns.

What are my options to reduce the cost of filter exchanges?

We understand the stress of trying to manage costs and, save money while making sure you take care of your equipment. If you are concerned about the cost of ongoing filter exchanges, here are a few options:

  • Delivery only – We can send you replacement cartridges so you can exchange filters yourself.
  • Is your current filter fit for purpose? Perhaps your current filter cartridge is too big or small. Our Purity C range has interchangeable filters, giving you the flexibility to find the right filter for you.
