The first ever BRITA water filter recycling hubs have opened in the UK, thanks to First Choice Group, the UK’s leading stockist of genuine OEM parts and accessories, as well as Newcastle-Under-Lyme-based vending company, Options Management.
At BRITA, we have made a series of commitments to sustainability and the environment. We are delighted that our partners are supporting our pledge to reduce, reuse and recycle as much of what we produce as possible.
First Choice Group allows operators, engineers, or couriers to drop off used BRITA filters, where they are collected and recycled, closing the loop on a filter’s lifecycle.
Options Management, a company that has a long heritage of greening up the UK’s vending machine scene, is also encouraging vending operators to return and recycle their used water filters. The drop-off bin is open all hours, giving operators an extra helping hand with their recycling efforts and reducing waste going to landfill.
What’s more, as a special thank you, Options Management is donating 20p per recycled filter to a local hospice, The Dougie Mac.
